Victoria records 1612 new Covid-19 cases as virus spreads across the city

 A local government region in Melbourne’s southeast has taken over the mantle as the top Covid hotspot in Victoria.

The City of Casey recorded more new cases than any other council areas on Monday, surpassing Hume as the most virus-riddled region.

Health department deputy secretary Naomi Bromley said Casey recorded 174 new infections, ahead of Hume with 169.

  1. Situation is looking quite difficult righ now in Melbourne, Day by day we are getting hike in new Covid cases. Government is doing good but also looking helpless. Our safety is on our hands, as infection is spreading faster. I hope everything will be fine soon till than we should follow the guidelines and stay safe at our houses.
