Bookkeeping: Making Sense of Debits and Credits!

Hi People,
I normally hate reading books so when my bookkeeper asked me to read about accounting I was aghast, but he sounded serious. So I got some books online and from the library, but was unable to understand even a word. These were meant for professionals and students and I am quite far away from both. So I decided to do some research online and found some material which was written in layman’s terms. And then I found this post which describes the debits and credits in the best possible manner. Sydney and Melbourne housing auction clearance rate dives but Jeff Horn is priced out in Brisbane

The number of homes being put up for auction across Australia has continued to plummet, quashing hopes of spring injecting momentum into the struggling market. According to property researcher CoreLogic it was the “lowest preliminary clearance rate seen so far this year” at just 55 percent across Sydney and Melbourne. Both markets were down by more than 500 on the same weekend as last week with owners of luxury homes tending to sell privately before auction. Coronavirus Victoria: Intruder breaks into Intercontinental quarantine hotel in Melbourne CBD

 There has been another breach at a Melbourne quarantine hotel with a man able to break into the facility, but the agency in charge of the state’s quarantine system has shifted the blame to Victoria Police. Police are investigating after the attempted burglary at the Intercontinental Hotel on Collins Street on Saturday after a man was able to walk in without detection.
